ISTE*T: Standard 2.a
Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.
The artifact above is a PowToons presentation for a technology-infused poetry unit for elementary school students. In this unit, students will be using wikis, online presentation tools, Talkshoe, Twitter, and Audacity to learn about types of poetry. These tools allow students to gain technology, presentation, and collaboration skills. Additionally, it shows how engaging and easily customizable the PowToons tool is.
ISTE*T: Standard 2.b
Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress.
The artifact above is a mock classroom website. To access the website, simply click on the image above. Since I do not yet have my own classroom, I set up a mock website to show how teachers can help students have access to learning at home. This webpage shows how students can manage their own goals, learning, and progress, through accessing online resources and information. *It is important to note that not all students have access to technology at home; no projects or information would be provided only in the online format.
ISTE*T: Standard 2.c
Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources.
The artifact above is a website dedicated to showing various types of web tutorials on using tablets in the classroom. To access the website, simply click on the image above. This website showcases web tutorials on types of tablets, how learners benefit from tablets, how to use specific apps, and how tablets are currently being used in the classroom. By understanding how to use and create web tutorials, teachers are able to better address a diverse group of students through various technological means.
ISTE*T: Standard 2.d
Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching.
The artifact above is a learning course module on elementary students' literacy skills. To access the module, simply click on the image above. This module moves through the following topics: basic phonological awareness, breaking/blending phonemes, sight words, reinforcement, and lastly assessment.
